Eighth Grader Excels at Track & Field

Chidi has been a nationally ranked hurdler and sprinter for the past 4 years, qualifying for and competing  in the USATF and Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) Junior Olympics each season. Though hurdles are his main events, he excels in 200m and 400m sprints as well.

 

These accomplishments did not happen over night. This took years of practice, most weeks 6-7 hours and day long track meets on the weekends. Through it all, Chidi was buoyed by the gains he made after each season from being dedicated to his sport.
