Central Connecticut State University - B.A.
Karina Marquis joined the Renbrook community in 2024 as a Preschool Partner Teacher and Yearbook Advisor. With a Bachelor of Arts in Art/Art Studies and more than 18 years of experience working with children, she brings both artistic vision and deep dedication to early childhood education.
Prior to Renbrook, Karina served as Head Teacher at a private art studio for children in West Hartford and as Gallery Director at a private art studio in Torrington. Her work has also included contributions to the CCSU Chen Art Gallery and the Special Collections at the New Britain Museum of American Art. These experiences continue to shape the creative lens she brings into her preschool classroom.
Karina believes that early childhood education is about more than academics. She is committed to nurturing curiosity, creativity, and confidence in her students. Through play-based learning and thoughtfully designed art-infused experiences, she creates a classroom where children feel safe to explore, express themselves, and develop a lifelong love of learning.
She especially values the strong sense of community at Renbrook and the meaningful partnerships formed with students and families. Fluent in English and Spanish and proficient in Portuguese, Karina brings both cultural and creative richness to the Beginning School each day.
