Woodworking Instructor for Summer Adventure June 23-August 1, 2025

Renbrook School Summer Adventure is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Woodworking Instructor to lead our woodworking program for elementary and middle school campers. This is a full-time, seasonal position that offers a very competitive salary and the opportunity to teach hands-on woodworking skills in a fully equipped studio.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and teach engaging, age-appropriate woodworking projects for campers in grades 1-8.
• Provide instruction on tool safety, woodworking techniques, and project assembly.
• Supervise and mentor campers to ensure a fun, educational, and safe environment.
• Manage and maintain the woodworking studio, tools, and materials.
• Work collaboratively with an assigned assistant to facilitate smooth class operations.
• Adapt lessons to meet the needs and skill levels of different age groups.
• Promote creativity, confidence, and problem-solving through hands-on projects.
• Follow all camp policies and safety guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Prior teaching experience working with children in an educational or camp setting.
• Strong background in woodworking with experience using hand and power tools safely.
• Ability to develop and lead structured, engaging woodworking lessons.
• Strong classroom management skills and ability to foster a positive learning environment.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of the camp’s specialty program team.
