Renbrook Summer Adventure
Welcome to RSSA!
Renbrook School Summer Adventure is a day camp open to children age 3 through Grade 9. We offer a robust Counselor in Training Program for eleventh and twelfth-grade students.
Our staff demonstrates maturity, personal integrity, and sensitivity to the needs of your children. We maintain a low camper to staff ratio to ensure the best possible experience. We have carefully developed our programs for each age group that envelops your child's growth and needs at different stages of their development.
Registration for our 2025 Season is now open!
Dear Renbrook School Summer Adventure Families,
I am thrilled to introduce myself as the new Camp Director of Renbrook School Summer Adventure.
As both a parent and an employee of RSSA, I’ve seen firsthand how camp ignites a sense of joy and adventure in campers, creating summer memories that last a lifetime. As a mom to four RSSA alums, current campers, and counselors, our home is filled with woodworking projects, pottery pieces, and stories of bull's eyes on the archery course. Now, as Camp Director, I’m excited to help create these same experiences for your children.
Camp preparations are in full swing, and our team is hard at work ensuring that Summer 2025 will be full of fun, growth, and adventure. I can’t wait to share this journey with all of you, and I look forward to welcoming both new and returning campers to another unforgettable RSSA summer.
Open registration for the 2025 season begins Monday, November 4 at 9am. Our exciting program offerings like swimming lessons, rocketry, high and low ropes, archery, woodworking, ceramics, and so much more are coming your way.
For families with rising 1st-4th graders, please visit the RSSA website to learn more about our new Academic Adventure program. Focused on math and literacy enrichment, Academic Adventure will give campers an opportunity to engage with experienced educators in a structured classroom setting for one hour each day, four mornings a week. The program will run in concert with the camp day and can be selected during the online camp registration process.
Lastly, we are thrilled to be included on this year’s 10th Annual Best of West Hartford voting ballot! Please click here to choose Renbrook School Summer Adventure for Best Camp.
I look forward to sharing a summer of fun and adventure with you all!
Warm regards,
Kathleen Sigrist

It was a busy schedule, but our Head of School for the Day was ready for the challenge! Lachlan and Farrell, the Assistant Head of School for the Day, started the day early by greeting their classmates at drop-off. Mr. Sigrist was available to offer advice and guide them through the day`s agenda. Mr. Zoni graciously accommodated all special requests, including Cool Ranch Doritos for the LS morning break and adding pancakes, hash browns, green beans, and garlic bread to the lunch choices.
The afternoon break featured an exciting game of Capture the Flag for second- and fourth-graders, along with a treat of popcorn and lemonade. To top off this successful day, an All-School Sports Fan Day Themed Dress Down Day has been declared for Monday, April 14th. Nicely done!

As part of the fourth-grade Native Social Studies Unit, students have been working in groups to explore various areas of interest in depth. They have examined questions such as: How is the land named, acknowledged, and memorialized? What connections to the Earth did the Native people of Avon Mountain maintain? What resources does Renbrook currently offer for learning about Native Americans and Indigenous peoples from our area? What myths surround the discovery of the New World, and what history can we learn by analyzing maps?
Today, the students shared their presentations and projects with family, friends, and faculty. Well done!
